Central NY driver charged with DWI after hitting horse-drawn buggy, injuring 2 teens

Ava, N.Y. — A man driving a pickup truck that rear-ended a horse-drawn buggy in Oneida County this summer has been charged for driving while intoxicated, troopers said Tuesday.
Alexander W. Pfendler, 33, of Constableville, was charged with driving while intoxicated and second-degree vehicular assault. He was also issued several traffic tickets, according to a State Police news release.
